Printmaking
Diane Stoppard is a printmaker whose practice often blends photography with traditional and experimental printmaking techniques, creating work that explores layers, light, and the weight of history. Just as photography is shaped by light, so too is printmaking — and Diane uses both to deepen her ongoing conversation about the landscape and the lasting impact of colonial settlement. Drawn to black-and-white and tonal imagery, her prints evoke memory through texture and shadow, weaving together etching, screen printing, and photograms to reflect on presence, absence, and the stories held in the land.
